Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public access to a great deal of court and law enforcement information, but the hard part is working out which office holds the piece you need. A warrant does not sit in a single place. The court that issues the warrant sets the charge and the bond, and the sheriff is the office that serves it and can say whether it remains outstanding.
Lower courts complicate the picture. A Mayor's Court warrant for a missed town citation is not held by the parish at all, and a justice of the peace keeps a separate docket again. Louisiana also has no single public statewide warrant search, so there is no central list to fall back on. It is easy to check one office, find nothing, and conclude wrongly that no warrant exists. We assembled the contact details, the search and records-request routes, and the local terminology for each of these offices in one place, so a reader can begin where the record actually lives.
What You Will Find Here

- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in this parish
- Traffic and city warrants: how a traffic warrant and a Mayor's Court warrant are paid, reset, or recalled
- Resolution: the paths that can end a warrant, from an attorney motion to a reset date, a surrender, or a bond
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Louisiana court, the Tensas Parish Clerk of Court, the sheriff's office, or any state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, clear, or serve a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept payment toward a fine or a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a warrant, bond, or court date applies to one person
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or office detail on this site is current today
Only the court that issued the warrant can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. The sheriff can say whether law enforcement received process to serve. We can point you to those offices, and the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes that outside companies operate. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and a search that leads to a paid signup may earn this site a referral fee. That revenue keeps the site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is never an official warrant check.
